"Highlights of some amazing 3D Printed Projects in 2019”

The 3D printing technology allows any kind of design to be brought to life which releases architects from the limitations of standard construction.

3D printing or additive manufacturing is way of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital life. The creation or making of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes and in this process, an object is made by laying down successive layers of material till the object is created. Each of these layers can be visible as a thinly sliced horizontal cross-section of the eventual object. So basically 3D printing is the opposite of subtractive manufacturing which is cutting out a piece of metal or plastic with for specimen a milling machine.

SketchUp is just made for 3D printing and designing in SketchUp is cool as 3D printing is something that moves is cooler and unique than that. In this article we are going to discuss about a few features that can be include by the users to make their creations more than just interestingly shaped hunks of immobile plastic. Aidan Chopra and Rebecca Huehls this time comes up with new tricks about 3D printing in SketchUp.

SketchUp or Google SketchUp is owned by Trimble Inc., a mapping, surveying and navigation company. It is mainly a 3D modeling computer program that is used for a broad range of drawing applications used by architects, interior designer, landscape architects, civil and mechanical engineers, film and video game designers also.

3D printing technology has changed many industries globally and among them most impact can be seen on Construction industry which offers freedom and versatility in a right budget. This article will describe four new 3D Printed projects in 2019 among Construction industry.

Most of the companies that use 3D printed program in construction are startups businesses are still in their developing phase though the number of countries using 3D technology is growing every day. Dubai is the leader of those countries where the most famous and luxurious UAE city has started a new structure that will be going to be built by using 3D technology.

  • Project Milestone: This is based in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), the engineers of Netherlands are planning to build five 3D printed concrete homes; this unique project makes them the first commercial housing project using 3D technology. Where the homes will be of new ages, having all kind of comforts etc.
  • Apis Cor: It is a startup which is located in San Francisco made a demonstration of its own 3D technology by creating a house in Stupino, Russia in 2016. Their technology is versatile and mobile as they printed the whole home on site to cut the transport expense. In future they are expecting to make homes using dual extrusion that will allow printing components other than the concrete structure. Recently the company has collaborated with SEArch+ and entered the “3D Printed Habitat Challenge”, a contest organized by NASA.
  • New Story: It is a nonprofit located in Texas who has partnered with Icon which is a company that creates printers, robotics and advanced materials to work on affordable housing solutions.
  • WinSun: WinSun created its first houses in 2013 using the first continuous 3D printer; they used a special mixture made of sand, cement and fibre along with suitable additions to print house components layer by layer in their Suzhou factory in China.

Create 3d models from your mobile with the camera and accelerometers

The 3d modelers can get help from a new technology that applies the camera and accelerometers in an average cellphone to evaluate real objects in 3D space.

Researchers associated with Carnegie Mellon University have developed this newest 3d modeling technology. The 3d modelers will get the ability to generate 3D models of the world just by flapping their phones just about an object or scene.

The accelerometers also known as inertial measurement units, approximately notify the phone’s software the location of the phone in space. By linking IMUs with the camera, one can get stunning results.

The tool provides superior computer vision and the users will be able to generate a 3D model of almost anything through their smartphone alone. It is expected that this new 3d modeling technology can be applied in self-driving cars, bypassing expensive and “power-hungry” radar. The team applied the technology to produce something known as Smart Fit that discovers the ideal glasses frames for any face.

A face tracker program can determine the distance amid a person’s pupils inside half a millimeter.

The 3-D model can be applied to rectify for the errors originated by the IMU, even as we utilizing the IMU to estimate the dimensions of the model.

Handy Potter, gesture-based 3-D modeling software to make 3d shapes with hand motion

Handy Potter, gesture-based 3-D modeling software to make 3d shapes with hand motion
Purdue University developed Handy Potter, a hand-free, gesture-based 3-D modeling software, that can produce digital models or 3d shapes as well as express any ideas instantly through natural hand movements devoid of applying a mouse. The 3d design can be printed on a 3d printer. This newest 3d modeling app will be marketed by Zero UI, a Cupertino, California-based company having expertize in 3D modeling technology.

This latest 3d technology can be useful in the field of games, architecture, art and engineering design.

With Handy Potter, one can generate various digital models like drums, tables, lamps and other items on a computer.

This 3d modeling program follows a modeling scheme dubbed intelligent generalized cylinders (IGC) system.

Handy Potter can replace the backdated computer-aided design tools used for making geometric shapes through a depth-sensing camera with sophisticated software algorithms to understand hand motions and gestures.

3D Pen – a newest technology ahead

The newest technology in the world of 3D modeling is 3D pen.

With the world's latest affordable 3D-printing technology, 3D pens, a designer can make solid drawings and craft impressive sculptures. But how can a designer use this marvelous tool?

If you are going to start new profession in full swing, then this small and smart 3D printing pen will assist you definitely. The pen, dubbed 3Doodler that can ‘write’ in three dimensions.

Experts says, the pen, which works something like a glue gun, allows the user to wave it in mid-air to create a three-dimensional rendering.

3D Pen – a newest technology ahead

The 3Doodler plugs into an electrical outlet and oozes a thin strand of heated plastic, which quickly cools and solidifies, allowing the user to build an infinite variety of patterns and shapes.

It can create 3D designs on flat surfaces or in the air.

Spaghetti-like strands of ABS thermoplastic in a range of colors can be loaded into the back of the pen, and WobbleWorks says each one-foot strand of plastic can produce about 11 feet of moldable material.

This 3D printing pen has great potential and can be a perfect tool for stylists, architects, designers and anybody who are interested in 3D printing. We also continually have new ideas of how to restructure our 3D technology.

The prime features of the 3D pen are:
  • It helps impressive art, jewellery, sculptures, and a variety of homeware.
  • It helps traditional and digital artists looking to express their creativity on a new level.
  • The children and parents are looking for clean and easy creative projects to enjoy;
  • The hobbyists are looking to acquire useful tips, tricks, and working practices to make the most out of their 3D-printing pens.
The pen has some nice plus points:
  • It is small in size.
  • It is light weighted.
  • Using is noiseless.
  • It offers extreme portability.
  • It is very comfortable to use.
  • It has beautiful design.
  • It has aluminum body.
  • Filament 1.75 mm.
