Brief demonstration of Raytracer for Sketchup

In this lesson we talked about the plugin called raytracer which is useful for distribution.
In this sketchup video tutorial, demonstration is given on the sketchup plugin raytracer. Raytracer is the collection of small snippet which are used to trace rays around the model specifically remove the ground surface.
Raytracer is compatible with sketchup 6 to sketchup 2017.
Given below, some useful functions of the plugin :-
Drop CPoints
Drops the chosen constructions points down onto the surface underneath.
Drop CPoints (Trace)
Includes a construction point on the surface underneath the chosen construction point and adds a construction line among them.
Drop Components
Drops the adopted groups/components down onto the surface underneath with their axis origin.
Drop Components by Bounds
Drops the adopted groups/components down onto the surface underneath by the corners of the bounding box' bottom.

Civil View Toolset for 3D Max Users

Marion Landry has over 18 years of experience in Architectural Visualization, working with a range of software including Autodesk 3ds Max Design and Autodesk Showcase, presented this tutorial with tri-parted video. This tool was fully integrated to 3ds Max Design and known as Civil View toolset.

Starting with 3ds Max Design 2012, this tool was fully integrated to 3ds Max Design.

The workflow shown in this demo is still fairly accurate today and does have a lot of great information that can be useful to you.

How can you make yours fountain from CAD to Sketchup

1. import your design from cad to sketchup.

2. draw circle diameter equal to diameter fountain then delete half of fountain & use make face plugin.

3. after using make face plugin , rotate the shape to angel = 90.
