Chaos group launched V-ray for Unreal 1 to fetch v-ray scenes from sketchup directly into unreal engine

Chaos recently introduced V-Ray for Unreal 1 to deliver V-Ray scenes from Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya, Trimble SketchUp, and McNeel Rhino directly into Unreal Engine, a series of 3D content development tools from Epic Games that produces photorealistic rendering in real time.

The users will be able to render ray-traced, photorealistic images with V-Ray directly from Unreal.

V-Ray for Unreal Update 1 provides support for native Unreal materials, so anybody having a secured Unreal pipeline can render animations, still images, and more as a whole, with 100% ray-traced precision.

This feature facilitates the designers to avail various V-Ray techniques like photorealistic light baking and interactive rendering, devoid of modifying their workflows.

The update offers specific benefit for CAD users by providing 1:1 support for Datasmith material translations. Datasmith belongs to a collection of tools and plugins which allow the artists and designers importing the data into Unreal Engine; it supports CAD and digital content development sources along with Autodesk 3ds Max.

Update 1 also provides viewport rendering, therefore the users can render interactively, with the effects of light and material adjusts rapidly which are shown in the Unreal viewport. If required, the users can activate V-Ray to generate photorealistic “beauty shots” and reference checks from inside Unreal. Physically based lighting offers the designers with the most realistic view of how their assets will be demonstrated in a real-world situation.

“V-Ray for Unreal contains improved KPF’s visualization process from offline rendering to VR and AR, facilitating the users to obtain superior, faster results with fewer applications. The light baking functionality facilitates baking large scenes with greater quality. Rendering can be performed on CPUs, NVIDIA GPUs, or a combination thereof.

The light baking (quantifying lighting and shadow effects before time while rendering an object) is now as much as 60% faster, whereas retaining quality levels.

Pricing: V-Ray for Unreal Update 1 is free for existing customers; new seats can be brought $80 (monthly) or $470 (annually). Education pricing of $99 is accessible for students, educators, and universities.

Vray Proxy - Vray para Sketchup

V-Ray is a commercial rendering plug-in for 3D computer graphics software applications.

Well, before proceeding towards this exclusive tutorial we have to know that what VrayProxy is.

VRayProxy generally imports geometry from an external mesh during render time only. The geometry is absent in the 3ds Max scene and does not engage in any resources. This permits the rendering of scenes with millions of triangles, more than 3ds Max itself can manage.

An exclusive tutorial on v-ray light material

The v-ray material is a special material included with the V-Ray renderer. This material is usually applied in creating self-illuminated surfaces. It also facilitates speedy rendering rather than with a Standard 3ds Max material through self-illumination. It can also transform an object into an actual mesh light source.

The VRayLightMtl can be used as light source allocated to an object. If the value of the color is enhanced it will influence the GI solution and will generate more light. The overbright colors may appear as identical as pure white but the GI results may vary.

Go through the following exclusive tutorial on V-ray light material presented by 3D tutorial which focuses on how the materials perform in V-ray for 3ds max as well as how it’s various parameters control the overlook of the final outputs.

V-Ray 3.3 for NUKE is launched by Chaos Group

Chaos Group just introduced V-Ray 3.3 for NUKE, the most advanced rendering engine, that supports NUKE, NUKEX, and NUKE STUDIO. With V-Ray 3.3, the 3D artists can experience first ever node-based VR system together with , high speed GPU rendering, more than 200 3.x updates for V-Ray for 3ds Max and Maya.

V-Ray for NUKE facilitates the compositors to modify any 3D asset. The compositors can now obtain all the lighting, shading and rendering elements necessary to accomplish the project independently.

V-Ray for NUKE enhance the creativity level of a 3D artist by producing detailed renders for pitches and treatments, as well as integrating 2D and 3D in a fascinating new method.

NUKE's first VR system comes with two new cameras, involving spherical and stereo cube maps.

V-Ray Standalone offers real-time, GPU-accelerated rendering to film and broadcast projects, as well as availability of the whole V-Ray line-up (bucket, progressive and V-Ray RT). With the inclusion of a V-Ray VRscene node will facilitate the team members to deliver full render-ready assets out of V-Ray for 3ds Max and Maya to NUKE artists (or conversely) with exact uniformity. The users will be able to view, instance, convert and manage V-Ray scene files maintaining 100% accuracy, devoid of their position in the pipeline.

Now artists will be able to generate a 3D scene through the identical nodal workflow applied all through NUKE.

To get the complete features, go through www.v-ray.com/nuke/features/sp3.

E-on software ships the free trial version of Carbon Scatter 2015

E-on software, the solution provider in digital nature technologies, just introduced free Carbon Scatter 2015 trial version compatible with 3ds max, maya and cinema 4d.

Carbon Scatter 2015 can be applied for producing complicated & detailed populations through the native instancing technologies related with the host application.

The Carbon Scatter Pro Trial Version is completely working version of Carbon Scatter Pro 2015 and it contains the following drawbacks:-
  • The Trial Version comes up with a restricted number of plants and polygonal meshes.
  • Switch to native instances is restricted to 1000 instances.
  • Saving scenes and network rendering is turned off.
The Carbon Scatter Pro Trial Version is made on the basis of e-on software’s procedural plant technique and the users can easily modify any of the plants contained in Carbon scatter as well as obtain more plants from cornucopia3d.com and the PlantFactory Nursery to produce their own, exceptional plant species.

The users can apply the Carbon Scatter Pro Trial Version only for individual and non-commercial purposes; exchanges of files with other Trial users are not permissible and are not compatible with commercial versions of Carbon Scatter 2015. After setting up the Trial Version, the users can utilize it for 30 days only.

The Carbon Scatter Trial Version will set up in all supported applications on the end user's system and the rendering of EcoSystem™ populations in all supported renderers can be performed.

Carbon Scatter Pro is natively well-matched with PlantFactory content (even if the user doesn't own PlantFactory).
