Some useful guidelines to perform exterior rendering with v-ray next for sketchup

This is an exclusive video tutorial for v-ray sketchup users. In this tutorial, detail process is given for performing a naturalistic exterior rendering with v-ray next for sketchup.

The following tools are used for different purposes :-

1. Sandbox tool, for forming the ground.
2. Artisan for completing the ground detail.


3. Solar North for settling the sun originates.
4. Skatter, to spray the assets to the ground.
5. Laubwerk, for adding the trees.


Sandbox Tools (extensions.sketchup.com)

The Sandbox Tools extension applies the concept of a sandbox that belongs to a surface to be created and managed with sandbox tools. This sketchup extension is effective for landscape design.

Artisan (sketchucation.com)

This sketchUp extension comprises of powerful organic modeling tools. Artisan can be used to create Terrain, Furniture, Characters, Abstract Sculptures, Fabric/Curtains/Pillows, Rocks/Tree Trunks/Plants etc.

Solar North (extensions.sketchup.com)

It offers tools for the users to settle and exhibit the solar north angle that SketchUp applies to work out the sun location, and consequently shadow directions.

Skatter (extensions.sketchup.com)

With skatter, it is possible to populate your scenes with unconstrained vegetation with complete control, all while saving time and never leave SketchUp.

Demo of Lauwerk, a new plugin of Sketchup

This sketchup video is based on Laubwerk, a new plugin for sketchup. Laubwerk provides simplified software extensions for architects and CG artists who are searching for genuine 3D plants, and plant scattering tools.

By applying simple drag-and-drop feature, and user-friendly tools, the users can revise the shape, age, season and level of detail for each of Laubwerk's stunning 3D plants. The users will be able to consistently include 3D trees to any CG project.

Laubwerk Plants Kits include a wide array of render-ready 3D trees which provide maximum flexibility for users whereas reducing the time (and computer memory) incurred inserting foliage into 3D scenes.

Each Kit comprises of 10 species of render-ready smart trees, which can be dragged-and-dropped into 3D scenes, then rapidly and smoothly modified in accordance with the shape, age, season and level of detail the scene requires.

All of this is performed through the free Laubwerk Player that transforms the 3D trees to life. This plugin Player consistently incorporates into Autodesk 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design, MAXON Cinema 4D, SideFX Houdini, Trimble SketchUp, and Python.
