"Autumn Styling with a fashionable Twist”

SketchUp Hub is fully dedicated to the interior decorations using SketchUp; they help the interior designers to get some new ideas about home decorations.

About SketchUp Hub: Anita Brown has established the SktchUp Hub 3D Visualization and here are a range of courses for helping Interior Designers and students, creating exact floor plans and elevations with a professional touch for the extreme benefit of their business or studies. The SketchUp Hub’s total vision is to authorize Interior Designers especially women providing right technical abilities for making exact drawings and creative illusions at professional standards. In the month of January this year, the Sketchup Hub had announced their first ever 5 Day Challenge where they had challenged designers and SketchUp users to create an awesome kitchen design with the help of Free SketchUp download. The event was a big successful one and many people showed their wonderful skills where the best got the winner prize and made a place for his/her design. After that the SketchUp Hub has focused on designing the Interior sides of houses with elevations, these elevations are actually some kind of visual tools that allow Interior Designers to transfer perfectly their vision for a space, specifically they can work on the design of a wall and other items within nearly view.

Autumn is now in our door step and this is the best time when people think to decorate their places in a new way or want to make their places lovely and cheerful. Autumn is the season of cleaning houses, washing lawns and houses to give it a new and clean look to welcome Winter and Spring. SketchUp Hub team is also excited to create changes in the interiors which can make lives even more beautiful and stylish. According to them, in Autumn they will love to create dramatic, breath taking interiors for the season; their dark and moody atmospheric qualities give the right foundation for designers to drive boundaries, make a statement and experiment with new colors, patterns and materials. Autumn interior decorations is mostly done by Urban Luxe which is the best interior design styles to combine into an Autumn scheme; it has all the glamour, luxury and classic detailing perfectly balanced with modern design to create a consistent and modern aesthetic that emits undeniable warmth and sophistication.

The team has worked it on and designed a beautiful living space that replicates everything about an Urban Luxe Interior. First of all they focused on the color; they chose Cordoba from Little Greene as the aubergine shades in this hue were very evocative of the earthy notes of autumn as it is full of different color combinations to introduce individuality into the space. After getting the main color for the space they also chose feature wallpaper as they thought that floral prints will create a huge effect on interiors in the future. They love patterns and applied the Farrow & Ball’s Lotus print which incredibly rich and reflects all of the classic elements, they also used it on the sofa wall that gave a mild but sophisticated look to the place. While they put muted Scandinavian colors in this design with the muted pink and dashes of grey-ish blue for make a balance with the strong wall colors.

Next they worked with sofa covers and cushions, coffee table, walls, backdrops, curtains, chairs and fire place; they applied the contrast colors, mix and match the colors against each other to create a vivid but variant stylish look throughout the room.

About SketchUp: SketchUp or Google SketchUp is mainly a 3D modeling computer program that is used for a broad range of drawing applications used by architects, interior designer, landscape architects, civil and mechanical engineers, film and video game designers also. SketchUp can be getting as a freeware version named SketchUp Make and a paid version with many more extra benefits called SketchUp Pro. "Five ideas to innovate Floor plans and Elevations ”

The SketchUp Hub has arranged many courses and tutorials for designers to upgrade their capabilities and here are five tips to innovate Floor plans and elevations.

About SketchUp Hub:

Anita Brown has established the SktchUp Hub 3D Visualization and here are a range of courses for helping Interior Designers and students, creating exact floor plans and elevations with a professional touch for the extreme benefit of their business or studies. The SketchUp Hub’s total vision is to authorize Interior Designers especially women providing right technical abilities for making exact drawings and creative illusions at professional standards. Besides that, SketchUp Hub creates an available, engaged and fully supported learning environment for presenting the development of STEM related skills to a female driven industry.

Previously there was a course arranged by the SketchUp Hub called the SketchUp Bundle Course which included some individual courses, free downloadable templates etc. Clicking on the course title helped the users to know more about the learning outcomes of every course; but this Bundle does not had the SketchUp Pro license so they have to download or purchase the software separately. Each course is aimed at Interior Designers, Interior Design students, Interior Decorators, Interior Architects, Interior Stylists and Home Staging Professionals without any previous or limited knowledge of SketchUp. Designers who have earlier taken part in the video tutorials for this SketchUp Bundle Course and also took part in their 5 Days Challenge got a beautiful watercolor illustration of a dreamy design scheme for their computer wallpaper that they had created earlier.

Creating this wonderful wallpaper or working hard on the new skills and techniques for designing a new catalogue of precise and professional technical floor plans and elevations doesn’t matter at all as they will never give any benefit to the Interior Design business by gathering dust etc. There are some techniques to help designers in upgrading the work method and quality, like according to the professionals, to survive in this digital age and making the business firm and running one needs to stand out, inspire, engage and provide value to:

  • Increase the visibility of the brand
  • Grab attention of the Target Audience
  • Increase Sales

Though applying these things in producing the plans and illustrations needs a lot of commitment, determination, skill and practice which are taught in SketchUp Hub’s courses. The motto of these courses is to maximize the exposure of users, showcasing their new skill-set and the uniqueness of the regarded brand.

Five ways to create Most of the SketchUp Plans:

  • 1. Combine all the plans or illustrations into the recommended website content, for either adding visual appeal or a lovely chunk of creativity or for helping demonstrate the benefits of their service.
  • Including floor plans or elevations (either technical or illustrated) in the online portfolio will help to demonstrate the process of integrating SketchUp plans and elevations into the design process, also help to make benefits and communicate with the designs.
  • Creating engaging content and providing value to the target audience with included plans or drawing in blog posts will provide benefit to the design.
  • Interior designers as business owners should always handy to use social media for increasing visibility of the brand and to drive traffic for increasing sales.
  • Designers should never miss the opportunity to communicate and promote their brands.

How to set up light for a daytime interior rendering with Vray 3.4 for sketchup

In this construction video tutorial, Minh from Architecture Inspirations, briefly explains the method to arrange the lighting perfectly for a daytime interior rendering with Vray 3.4 for sketchup.

The step-by-step methods include the followings :-
Trace your main light source
Modify camera settings
Improve the Sunlight
Lighten dark shadows
Modify sun settings
Notes :- Render settings are very crucial and there exist various rendering conditions like interior shots, dusk shots, and daytime shots which need diverse setups.
In V-Ray for Sketchup, the V-Ray interface runs within Sketchup. Different things like the sun, cameras, and materials are associated with each other among the two programs. If the sun angle in Sketchup is modified, the sun angle in V-Ray will also be changed.
Usually, the sun angle should be modified in Sketchup to set the shadows in proper position prior to move to V-Ray. The Sketchup scene that is going to be rendered in V-Ray should be saved by going to “View>Animation>Add Scene”.
It is very useful while overlaying Sketchup image exports on top of the V-Ray renderings or it is required to render the similar view subsequently.
To learn the complete process, watch the following video tutorial.

How to produce a realistic interior rendering – Some useful tips by Minh

Minh from Architecture Inspirations provides some handy tips (10 tips) to transform your interior rendering process to the next level with v-ray 3.4 for sketchup.

For making a good design, it is necessary to get better idea or conception. For this purpose, do some online research. You can create your own library with high resolution image. You can visit some good sites like houzz, pinterest etc.
Always try to employ superior quality components. It is recommended to download 3d components from 3d warehouse or utilize 3d warehouse tool to search for images directly from sketchup.
Be careful about the scale of your objects. Ensure your objects remain at perfect scale while going to import objects into your scene. If the objects are too big or too small, your rendering may become unrealistic.
It is suggested to apply premium materials. High quality materials are better than low quality materials as they have superior resolution. Premium materials comprises of various maps so that your mateirls appear to be more realistic at the time of rendering.
Avoid applying wide angle shot. This type of shot is used to capture everything in scene but it may cause a bad composition where viewers become confused regarding what to focus on. So, it is advisable to employ tighter frame for the composition of your scene.
Besides, adding light for lightening the scene, also use the camera settings for this purpose. It is suggested to apply render elements to your final output prior to render.
Utilize VFB window to edit your image if you don’t have photoshop or other image editing software installed.
For having detail shot of your scene, consider employing depth of field.
If you utilize photoshop for post production, then it is advisable to apply Nik collection plugin in photoshop to get better result.

How to swap low-poly proxy components for highly detailed model through components window

This sketchup video tutorial is a part of sketchup skill builder series. In this sketchu video, one will learn the process to interchange low-poly proxy components for exceedingly detailed model with the use of components window.

If you have models which contain lots of geometries, it will slow down your computer. To resolve the issue, you have to make proxies which are nothing but simple components to represent where the geometry is going to be placed. It can be done with a instant click substituted with more complicated geometry.

While going to create more and more complicated objects SketchUp, you need to save those objects in order to utilize them repeatedly. It is also often required to allocate your objects with other or download other people's objects from the web. All these can be performed with components. It all takes place in the Components window that is available under Window, Components.

It does not represent all the objects in the scene but only those objects which are transformed into components. There are three tabs in this components window. One is the Select tab that facilitates the users to choose components. The next one is Edit that facilitates the users to edit current components. Besides, there is a Statistics tab that empowers the users to observe statistics about the components.

Dog Bone Fillets: Generates Dog-Bone fillets on the faces clicked by you.
• Apply VCB to fix the radius of the tool.
• Apply VCB to fix arc segment quality. ("8s" will create arcs on the basis of circles containing 8 segments)
There should be no connection between the face clicked on and any other faces or edges.
